•18-44 years : male=4.3—5.7 female= 3.8-5.1 million/cmm
•45-64 years : male= 4.2—5.6 female= 3.8-5. million/cmm
•65-74 years : male=3.8-5.8 female= 3.8-5.2 million/cmm
Increased RBC count seen in

1.Polycythemia.
2.vigorous excercise.
3.Hemoconcentration.
4.High allitude.

Decreased RBC count seen in

1.Anaemia.
2.Drugs that cause aplastic anaemia.
3.G-6 PD deficiency.
